Our search for a breeder of Chocolate Labradors started about a year ago. When we started we had no idea how exosting and hard finding a good breeder was. A breeder that fits our idea of a perfect breeder (you know that special one that you know is the right one). So we started with a perfect idea of what we were looking for, but little did we know that that idea was going to take me to Chatsworth Ont, and bring us not only an amazing puppy but also a friendship for life. One phone conversation with Yvonne was enough to realize I found my perfect breeder (I think I actualy knew that in the first 10 seconds of our conversationJ)!!! She was everything I hoped I would find in a breeder and much, much more. At that moment I was certain I wanted a puppy from Cloverranch even if it meant traveling a great distance (we live in Vancouver, BC). When Yvonne told me that their dogs are part of their family, that they spend time with them in the house, that they are not kennel dogs, and when I sensed the love and care in her voice, I knew she was simply perfect.
The rest is history. On Oct. 16th 2009, I flew from Vancouver to Toronto, beyond excited to meet our new, little addition to the family and so thrilled to finaly meet Yvonne and Peter and the rest of the cloverranch family – it was hard to wait for so many months and after so many phone conversations!!! Spending a day with them on the ranch was one of the most memorable days of my life; I’ve met the whole family, including their animal kingdom; their little pack of dogs was fantastic, they are all such wonderful dogs, calm, chilled, and very very, friendly (also amazngly good looking J) Yvonne and Peter have a fantastic family, the care and love they put in everything around them is so admiring. Sadly, my day at Cloverranch had to end but I was happy as I was bringing home our beautiful, little girl - Cloverranch Bijou Nala.
Now, months later, Nala is the most clever, most beautiful, funniest, friendliest, sweetest, cheekiest, sleep loving (we have to wake her in the morning), food loving best friend. She also kicks ass in the class at puppy school J. It is an absolute credit to Yvonne that Nala is so calm and unfazed by anything. Her confidence and curiosity yet placid temperament, constantly amaze us, our family and friends. Everyone wants to know where we got her and how we found you. I happily tell them all about Cloverranch and how brilliant you have been. We can’t even begin to express how greatful we are to you.
There are number of reasons we would recommend Cloverranch to any serious, knowledgable dog lover; but most important one is that the Cloverranch family breeds Labradors because they love them. The health and temperament of each and every dog that they breed is of outmost importance. The puppies are raised in their home, each puppy is a precious baby to them and they place them very carefully. They value having a relationship with their puppy’s owners and knowing that they are going to a good responsible and loving home. They are so much more than a breeder.
